Indigenous Cultural Safety and Allyship
May 25th, 2023 | 6:30pm to 8:00pm
BCACCS, Metis Nation BC and Early Childhood Educators of BC are pleased to present “Indigenous Cultural Safety and Allyship” in honour of May is childcare month.
Guiding the Work: This dialogue examines the emergence of Indigenous Cultural Safety in relation to Reconciliation and equity oriented approaches to supporting Indigenous peoples. Some of the major themes are discussions around the purpose and significance of Reconciliation as a structural initiative and antiracism tool: to assemble strategies to embed Reconciliation into professional practice, and to examine the relationship between colonialism and violence against Indigenous peoples and its implications for Reconciliation and decolonization today.
Presented By: Len Pierre Consulting, Samantha Jack
