The Executive Director (ED) of the CCSA is the chief staff officer of the organization. The ED reports to the Board of Directors (BOD). In alignment with the strategic plan, the ED administers, leads, and/or delegates all aspects of the organization’s operations, including:

• Operational Development; updating Policies and Procedures

• Human Resources (Staff and Volunteers)

• Program Resources; Equipment, Supplies, Materials

• Finances

• Compliance with requirements of agreements and governments (EG licensing)

• Facility management

• Programming

• Fundraising and Grant Writing

• Promotions and Social Media

• Strategic planning processes.

• Promote the community education philosophy and collaborate with the community to identify needs and priorities.

• Supervise and support current CCSA programs and community school activities.

• Fulfill yearly licensing requirements.

• Recruit, hire, train, supervise and retain quality staff and volunteers.

• Follow appropriate maintenance and security system procedures for all facilities in which programming takes place.

• Research, access and utilize community resources and facilities as appropriate.

• Assist the CCSA BOD in developing policies and guidelines for the management and operation of licensed programs and community school education; provide written reports as required.

• Oversee the CCSA’s budget, financial records, billing and collection of fees.

• Prepare grant applications and organize fund-raising activities.

• Work with students as facilitator, educator and/or coach in formal and informal situations as required.

• Perform other related duties as required.

The Executive Director is evaluated annually through a mutually agreed-upon process by the BOD and the ED.

Qualifications:

Other: Applicable Undergraduate degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of school, community, and other related resources available for community education programming.

• Current Community First Aid.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain budgets and accurate records.

• Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary and vacation as per ED employment contract.

• 37.5 hours per week (hours are flexible according to the demands of the position)
