Lead Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Full-time

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and capable Lead ECE Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
We hope you are passionate about early childhood education, enjoy working with children, possess strong classroom management skills, a spirit of teamwork, and a professional and steady work attitude. You will help create a safe, warm, positive, and inspiring learning environment for young children.

Job Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily teaching activities in the classroom
- Create a safe, warm, and caring environment for children’s growth
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain positive and professional communication with parents
- Collaborate effectively with other teachers and team members
- Handle classroom management, documentation, and daily teaching support
- Follow school policies and all licensing, health, and safety requirements
- Participate in staff meetings and professional training sessions
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Valid ECE Certificate recognized by BC
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Provide a clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience working in a licensed early learning center
- Strong classroom management and teamwork skills
- Good English communication ability
- Responsible, stable, caring, and committed to quality work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in classroom or staff leadership roles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with inquiry-based, play-based, or IB approaches.
- Ability to lead a classroom independently.
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior teachers.
- Availability to work occasional weekends is an asset.
Required Experience:
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting
- Knowledge of inquiry-based learning approaches
Salary & Benefits:
Salary:
$30.00 – $35.00 per hour including Provincial Wage Enhancement, based on qualifications and experience.
