Sts’ailes Early Education Centre (SEEC) is seeking an ECE to join our team as we provide early learning & childcare services for children aged infant to school-age. The ECE will work in collaboration with SEEC’s educators to provide holistic curriculum and care.

About Us: SEEC is a licensed, well-equipped facility that offers a supportive and positive workplace. SEEC’s programs support the whole child and integrate the six components of Aboriginal Head Start: Education, Culture & Language, Nutrition, Family Involvement, Health Promotion, and Social Support.

Qualifications:

Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications:

Candidate Qualifications: A successful candidate will be self-motivated and have a genuine interest in serving children and their families.

They will also have the following qualifications: - Ability to develop and maintain warm and responsive relationships with children

- Valid ECE certificate (post-basic SN or IT is an asset)

- Clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills

- Experience working with First Nation communities

- Experience working in a licensed childcare setting

- Ability to follow SEEC’s Standards and Licensing regulations

- Valid emergency childcare first aid & CPR

- Valid Food Safe certification, or willing to obtain during probation

Salary & Benefits:

- $23.00 – $25.00 per hour (dependent on ECE qualifications)

- An additional $4 per hour from the BC ECE Wage Enhancement

- Optional extended health/ dental and pension plan after a successful probation
