LFS is seeking applications for an energetic, enthusiastic, creative, self-motivated Early Childhood Educator for our 100% OUTDOOR preschool program.
The successful candidate will be training with our ECE Forest Practitioners, organizing and implementing a stimulating, dynamic forest preschool programme that encourages a holistic view of child development. LFS is a play-based, place-based child-emergent, all outdoors, all-weather forest preschool that follows a September to June curriculum (with Spring and Winter Breaks off) for 3-5 year old children. This position is based in Williams Park in Langley, BC, Monday to Friday for 4 hours each day (9:30-1:30). There are additional paid daily prep hours so work day is 8:30 - 2. This job could also be 3 days per week (M.W,F) or 2 days per week (T,Th). Validated ECE -holds a license to practise. May consider an ECEA who intends to complete ECE in future
Must have or be willing to obtain STANDARD or higher first aid training.
Must satisfactorily complete a criminal record check.
Excellent level of written and spoken English.
Must be capable of working in a team environment.
Forest Canada pedagogy understanding an asset.
Forest Practitioner training is a huge asset.
