Early Childhood Educators/ Early Childhood Educator Assistants (Full/Part Time)

Tots Town Children's Centre is seeking Early Childhood Educators and Assistants who have experience with program planning, implementation, and classroom management within a quality early childhood facility/school. This individual will work alongside a team of passionate, enthusiastic, energetic, and experienced individuals of like mind.

Tots Town Children Center is celebrating 41 years of quality care and education on beautiful Vancouver Island. We are a licensed care facility with a capacity of 20 children aged 30 months to 8 years old. We offer seamless programs for Preschool/ Pre-K, Daycare, and Before/ Afterschool Care for the McGirr Elementary School community.

Qualifications:

Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications:

It is mandatory to have Childsafe First Aid with CPR/ AED, a valid criminal record check, up-to-date immunization records including COVID-19, and 3 letters of reference. This individual must be physically and mentally capable of performing the duties and responsibilities assigned in the roles of the ECE including, but not limited to, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.

Required Experience:

A minimum of 1-year experience in the childcare field is an asset, but we will certainly accept dedicated graduating students to our team!

Strong oral and written communication in English is a must!

Salary & Benefits:

$19-$23 an hour based on experience and level of qualifications.

In addition, all eligible employees will receive a $4/ hour pay increase as part of the ECE-WE initiative.
