Analyzing and improving program spaces
Once again, Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia and Red River College have partnered to offer an online workshop. The workshop content (videos, readings, links, games, discussions) is completely online. Participants have complete flexibility to work through the materials at times that are most convenient for them. The content is from the Science of Early Child Development (SECD). SECD’s engaging, multimedia resources are used around the world by people who want to learn more about the impact of the early years on lifelong health and well-being.

N.B. Participants should have a reliable internet connection and be comfortable reading and writing in English.

Analyzing and improving program spaces – October 12 to November 1, 2017
- Equals 9 hours of professional development -

This action-oriented online workshop describes a variety of approaches to curriculum and issues related to indoor and outdoor program spaces. Participants watch videos of children around the world, hear from experts discussing the topics, and do short readings. Participants will “meet” in online discussions guided by a facilitator to:
• Document and analyze (through photos and other means) successful aspects of their own program settings,
• Describe and document an area to modify and improve,
• Get input and learn from others, and thereby get inspired to make enhancements,
• Implement and evaluate their changes.

Cost: $110.00 for ECEBC Provincial Members and $220.00 for non-members.

Online registration is available at www.ecebc.ca (see what's new on the home page). For more information or manual registration, please contact membership@ecebc.ca

Please ensure that the email used in the registration process is that of the attendee. Registered participants will be contacted one week prior to the start of the workshop with login details. Please contact us if you have not received this information prior to the scheduled start date.
