This code articulates the principles and standards of practice endorsed by the Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia. The eight ethical principles presented are intended to guide Early Childhood educators in deciding what conduct is right and correct.

Taking Care: A Child Abuse Prevention Manual
Taking Care is a comprehensive manual providing advice on how to deal with issues surrounding the sensitive subject of child abuse. Topics covered include: recruiting and interviewing staff, personnel policies in child care settings, policies on physical care in childcare centers, communicating with parents and an in-depth section on responding to suspected or disclosed child abuse. A “must have” for every child care facility.
